In
1960 Strake Jesuit College Preparatory was founded and opened its doors
to its first class the following year. For the past 50 years Strake Jesuit
has been serving young men from the Greater Houston area, helping them to
grow from boys into Men for Others. Our history has been proud and
colorful and we will mark our 50th anniversary in 2010-2011. It promises
to be an exciting year!
Along with several special events that you will
hear about later, one of the most exciting projects being developed for
this special year is a beautiful a coffee table-styled book that will be
filled with stories and pictures telling the tales of life here Bellaire
Boulevard. Every home of every alumnus and school family will want a copy
of this treasure.
Right now, those interested are invited to serve as a
patron of this wonderful book. As a patron you will be properly noted in
the book and will receive a copy of the book as soon as they roll off the
presses next fall. Patrons will help us keep the price of the book low,
making it something everyone will want and be able to afford. You can
